Open Decks for Equipment and Materials

Side access matters when you're loading machinery or positioning building materials. Our flatbed trailers on the Fraser Coast provide an open platform for that work. At Drop Deck Trailers, we list 12x7, 14x7 and 20x7 flatbeds, alongside a 10x6 flat top tradie model rated at 3T. Tell us how you'll load the cargo as well as what you need to carry.

Tell us the size and weight of your usual load, plus how you'll place it on the deck. We'll discuss the relevant configuration and confirm its specifications. Call 0417 455 603 to enquire about a flatbed.

Access Around the Load

An open deck gives you access without box sides or a cage in the way. That can help when positioning equipment or loading materials from different directions. It also makes load restraint an important part of choosing the trailer. Discuss the load shape and attachment needs when comparing models.

The flatbed range includes several deck sizes, but dimensions alone don't establish what each model will carry. Ask for the rating and tare weight of the specific trailer. If your cargo needs sides instead, our box trailers offer contained-load options.

Cattle Trailer Options

For livestock transport, we list a 12x6 cattle crate trailer with removable dividers, a ramp and a three-way rear opening. Its specification includes a galvanised finish, a 1,700mm-high crate and electric brakes on all four wheels. This is a separate transport purpose from the open-deck flatbeds. Tell us what you need to carry and we'll discuss the crate layout and model details.

FAQs

Flatbeds suit bulky, palletised or awkward loads that benefit from open access, including machinery, building materials, farm equipment, tanks and similar items.

A cattle trailer adds a purpose-built crate, dividers and controlled access for livestock. It is designed around animal containment rather than open-deck freight.

Consider load dimensions, total weight, how the load will be secured and the tow vehicle's capacity. Deck size alone does not determine whether a trailer is suitable.
