Workshop Attention for Worn or Damaged Components

A lighting fault, worn coupling or damaged fitting gives us a specific place to start an inspection. We carry out trailer repairs on the Fraser Coast at the Drop Deck Trailers workshop in Urangan. Our work covers single axle, car, camper and other trailer types, with attention to components such as springs, wiring and towing hardware.

We also offer servicing, safety inspections and registration support. Call 0417 455 603 to discuss the trailer and the work you need. We'll start with its condition and the issue you've reported.

Inspect the Fault and Discuss the Work

Our repair work includes bushes, chassis mounts, cables, catches and latches as well as towing and electrical components. An inspection helps establish whether a component needs attention or replacement. We can discuss that work alongside broader servicing needs when the trailer comes to the workshop.

For replacement components, our trailer parts range includes braking, suspension, bearing and lighting items. If you're enquiring about a caravan, see caravan repairs for the running gear and external electrical systems we cover. Include the trailer type and a description of the fault in your enquiry.

Components We Inspect and Repair

We inspect the fault and explain the work involved. We'll tell you if replacing a component would be more cost-effective than repairing it.

  • Tow couplings
  • Lights
  • Bushes
  • Wiring
  • Springs
  • Chassis mounts
  • Cables
  • Catches
  • Latches

Safety Certificates and Registrations

Our safety certificate inspections are carried out by a licensed, Queensland Transport approved inspector. An inspection typically takes 40 to 50 minutes, and we'll confirm timing when you book. We also supply registration plates and VIN plates, and fit the parts needed for inspection. We supply and install brake controllers too.

  • Tyres
  • Brakes
  • Suspension
  • Lights
  • Body rust and damage
  • Registration plates
  • VIN plates

Depending on the trailer and its condition, checks may cover brakes, bearings, suspension, tyres, lighting, wiring and the coupling. Damaged catches, latches and mounts may also need attention.

Describe noises, tyre wear, braking changes, lighting failures or visible damage. Tell us when the problem occurs and whether the trailer carries a load at the time.

An inspection helps establish component condition and the work required. We discuss the findings so you can consider the repair and any replacement parts together.
